Note: registration fees must be paid in full prior to the conference. In light of the developing situation with COVID-19 we have made the decision to move the 2020 ESA Conference online. 

We are currently working out the final details of what this virtual conference will look like and will make an announcement around that shortly.

* The student rate applies to full time, unwaged students. To receive the student rate, you will be requested to provide your student ID to verify your eligibility.

The Ecological Society of Australia actively supports the professional development of future ecologists, and the long-held policy of subsidising to keep student registration fees as low as possible will continue.

The Earlybird Registration Fee type is available until Friday 18 September 2020. Payment for Earlybird Registrations MUST be received by 18 September 2020. After this date, the Earlybird rate expires, and all unpaid registrations will automatically revert to Standard Registration Fee types.

  • Barbara Rice Memorial Poster session (Tuesday 1 December)

CONFERENCE DINNER The Conference Dinner will be held on Thursday 3 December 2020. Attendance at the dinner is NOT included in any of the above registration types. Further details will be available soon.

CONFERENCE MATERIALS A Conference Handbook and Program (printed version) will be provided to all registered attendees. The Book of Abstracts will be provided as a downloadable PDF, and released approximately 2 weeks prior to the conference. Abstracts will also be available on the conference app.

PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES

All accounts must be paid in full prior to the conference. Attendees will be required to settle any outstanding accounts by credit card upon arrival at the conference. The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Credit Card The conference accepts MasterCard and Visa. Payments will appear on your statement as ‘ESA Conference’. Credit card payments will be processed via NAB Transact, a third party gateway, and attract the following surcharges: MasterCard and Visa – 2% (AMEX is not accepted)
  • Cheque Please make cheques payable to ESA18 Conference, and post to: Kaigi Conferencing and Events, Level 1, The Realm, 18 National Circuit, Barton ACT 2600
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Bank details will be on your invoice, or contact us at esa@kaigi.com.au.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cancellatoin of Registration

We hope that you will not have to cancel your registration. However, should this be necessary, cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat.

A note re COVID-19: Anyone forced to cancel due to COVID-19 restrictions will receive a full refund of all registration fees paid. If you are unable to attend for any other reason, a substitute is welcome at no extra charge. Please advise the Conference Secretariat of the details of the substitute delegate in writing. 

Confirmation of Registration/Tax Invoice Once you have registered for the conference you will receive an automatic confirmation email from info the Conference Secretariat. Please note that the email confirmation will be sent to the email address entered when registering for the conference. This confirmation email contains a link to your PDF tax invoice.

Information collected as part of the conference registration process is owned by the Conference Organising Committee and Kaigi Conferencing and Events. We only access information that you voluntarily give us. We will not provide this information to any third party, other than as necessary to fulfil your request (such as to accommodation providers).
