WHAT DOES YOUR VIRTUAL REGISTRATION INCLUDE?
A full virtual registration includes live access to all conference sessions during the conference dates of 30 NOVEMBER – 4 DECEMBER 2020 as well as access to all online conference content (approximately 400 recorded presentations and posters) until the end of the year.
Each day of the conference will include a plenary presentation with live Q&A, concurrent sessions with a range of themed symposia and open forum, workshops, networking opportunities and poster sessions.
Symposia and open forum sessions will have pre-recorded talks with live Q&A interaction with presenters. Some symposia will also have live panel and open discussion opportunities.
A poster gallery will be available for the duration of the conference, along with scheduled poster sessions for live interaction with poster presenters.
All registration fees are in Australian Dollars ($AUD) and inclusive of GST

The Ecological Society of Australia actively supports the professional development of future ecologists, and the long-held policy of subsidising to keep student registration fees as low as possible will continue.
Registration fees will help to cover the costs of holding a virtual conference. These costs include the purchase of software licenses required to deliver concurrent sessions and presentations, host live speaker interaction, social and networking events, host content onlinen for an extended period after the conference, and ensure cybersecurity. The other key cost for the virtual conference is the staff time required to organise and execute the event, and assist presenters and attendees throughout the conference.
The ESA has set fees in order to cover costs, and does not expect to profit from the conference.
The ESA has always been committed to making the conference accessible to as many people as we can, and for that reason this year we are continuing to offer grants and subsidies including financial hardship grants, and parental support grants. PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES
All accounts must be paid in full prior to the conference. The following payment methods are accepted:
- Credit Card The conference accepts MasterCard and Visa. Payments will appear on your statement as ‘ESA Conference’. Credit card payments will be processed via NAB Transact, a third party gateway, and attract the following surcharges: MasterCard and Visa – 2% (AMEX is not accepted)
- Cheque Please make cheques payable to ESA2020 Conference, and post to: Kaigi Conferencing and Events, Level 1, The Realm, 18 National Circuit, Barton ACT 2600
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Bank details will be on your invoice, or contact us at email@example.com.
CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION
We hope that you will not have to cancel your registration. However, should this be necessary, cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat.
Cancellations prior to 31 October 2020 will receive a full refund less $20 administration fee. No refund will apply for cancellations on / after 01 November 2020.
Confirmation of Registration/Tax Invoice Once you have registered for the conference you will receive an automatic confirmation email from info the Conference Secretariat. Please note that the email confirmation will be sent to the email address entered when registering for the conference. This confirmation email contains a link to your PDF tax invoice.
Information collected as part of the conference registration process is owned by the Conference Organising Committee and Kaigi Conferencing and Events. We only access information that you voluntarily give us. We will not provide this information to any third party, other than as necessary to fulfil your request.
